BIO Tom has been on the board since before there was a CPHS. He became involved in the museum when it was merely a dream of our founder Det. Bob Bolton. They worked out of his office on the 9th floor, at that time the entire collection consisted of copper encased radio receiver that is still on display and is still a premier piece of the collection. There was a time that he knew, touched, and had custody of every piece in the collection. Over the years he has been personally involved in almost every area and activity concerning the operation of the museum. He served as the first co-chair of the Development Committee and created the Life Membership program, and instated many of the very first life membership raising much needed cash for the new museum. He co-chaired the committee that sold the 150th Anniversary Edition Smith & Wesson 357 that raised over $30,000 for the museum. He was responsible for organizing the first Cleveland celebration of Peace Officers Memorial Day as a museum sponsored event. Those activities are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. He was the Founder and President of the Greater Cleveland Peace Officer Memorial Society, who picked up the Memorial Day celebration after the museum decided not to continue it for the second year. When he was president of the Memorial Society they raised $350,000 and built the Police Memorial. The Memorial was paid for the day it was dedicated. He was responsible for the establishment of the award winning Pipes and Drums of the Cleveland Police, the biggest and most popular pipe, and band in Ohio. Fast Facts
