Trustee

Lou was appointed to the Cleveland Police Department on August 1, 1966, after the academy he was assigned to the 2^nd District where he worked as a patrolman and a couple of years in the 2^nd District Auto Theft Detail.

In May of 1978 he was transferred to 6^th District.  Where he worked patrol, office, and Senior Response car.  He also started the McGruff Safety Program and Crime Prevention programs.  Instructed new recruits in Crime Prevention at the Police Academy.  He retired in April 1995.
