As described in our vision statement, the Cleveland Police Historical Society (CPHS) strives to foster understanding and respect between law enforcement officers and the public.Most of our staff is made up of volunteers dedicated to the preservation of Cleveland's law enforcement history, which is something to be very proud of..

Directing traffic the hard way.

     Our Museum Volunteers graciously contributed almost 2,400 hours toward regular operations. Hundreds of more volunteer hours were contributed making special projects possible including;
  • creating the five year strategic plan,
  • transporting display cases and other donated items from the Cleveland area museums,
  • operating booths at the Plain Dealer’s Family Day at the Zoo and the Cleveland Hopkins Airport Anniversary,
  • organizing, funding, designing, and promoting the 1995 Police Officers’ Ball,
  • and organizing and hosting the Northeast Ohio Inter-Museum Council winter meeting held at the Museum.
