Cleveland Police Historical Society The CPHS Board meets once a month at the Third District Building located on Payne Avenue. The Board is comprised of individuals who want to help preserve the history of the Cleveland Police Department. They are persons to whom the history of the Department means something. They have either served on the force, or have had family members serve on the force. The Board Members may not be active at the Cleveland Police Museum directly on a day to day basis, but you can be sure one or more members on a daily basis is either placing or receiving a call regarding his/or her position in the organization. You may e-mail any board member with any question you may have regarding the Museum, please be assured that if one member does not know the answer to your questions, your question will be past along to the proper person or persons. Thank you for your interest and your support in preserving the history of the Cleveland Police Department. Cleveland Police Museum In order to preserve and share a part of Cleveland's past, the Cleveland Police Historical Society, a non-profit organization, was formed in 1983. The Society is dedicated to the the preservation of the history of the Cleveland Police Department and to the promotion of a better understanding of the role which law enforcement has within the community. The Society collects documents and artifacts which help to establish the history, developments and activities of the police department.
