BIO A Clevelander and a Max S. Hayes graduate who joined the Marines Corps at the tender age of seventeen and traveled the world for four years, received his college education on the G.I. bill at North Carolina State, Taught school in the Cleveland Public System before attending the Cleveland Police Academy. Upon his academy completion and assigned to his old neighborhood in the Second District, Officer Torres, preformed his duties as a Zone Car Officer, Field Training Officer, Vice Detective, Narcotic Detective, Bike Patrol Officer, Aviation Unit Member and Crime Scene Detective, before retiring after twenty-three years of service. In 1985, Officer Torres joined the Cleveland Police Historical Society and became a Trustee. Elected as the Society’s Treasurer, he served as Treasurer for five years. He now sits on the Society’s board as a Trustee and Chairs the Technology Committee, and is a member of the Fundraising Committee, Finance Committee and Facility/Properties Committee. Fast Facts Frank is married and father of twelve, (Five Children, Two Dogs, One Cat, and Four Horses), grandfather of three. An avid Sportsman.
